Experiencing the US from the front seat, and opening doors to new relationships.

By day three I begin to settle into my body. I was literally shaking from ‘shaking up’ my life. The tying up of loose ends and now traveling in the car for the entire day is posing great opportunities for settling and grounding into the present. Luckily, I have many tools and gifts to help support this need.
There is a coming home experience happening. I am answering the doorbell of my house, the one in the courtyard of my heart. I am opening the door to all that I know and the potential that I am.
Today we will stay in Granville Illinois, another indoor space to help us settle and keep dry. We were deeply grateful for the hotel gift last night in Toledo, Ohio. A big cushy bed to help restore us.
By day four the rhythm of the days are beginning to arise. Early mornings with a short spiritual practice, a simple breakfast and then sinking into our pilot or co-pilot positions of Quartz (the name of our PHEV Outlander).
Last night was a surprisingly lovely visit with Basia and Bobby at their home. I found the airbnb last minute and they were eager to host us. We cooked dinner in their kitchen and learned of their lives. They are adventurous folk, with Polish ancestry, Basia's homeland, and Bobby a mix of German, Polish and Armenian, born in the States. Bobby was chomping at the bit, to talk politics, we tried to avoid the topic (like polite Canadians), there was no stopping him. We learned that he is a Trump supporter, which was-- well…interesting…we had never met a Trump supporter... A lovely man!
Basia was amazed at how much I looked like her deceased friend from Poland. I am curious about this connection. I did have a dream of Croatia recently…I wonder if that is significant.
We did jump on our bikes (6 minutes, but it was so welcomed by our legs) before Basia made breakfast. So yummy— we ate in an atmosphere of Polish china, pottery, woven art and more.
Today we are again blessed with driving backroads, a much more peaceful way to travel, and blessed with the gift of sun beams through artsy clouds. We see the moon today and are reminded of our journey of conception, inviting in Ahlaya.
