Mythical-Mystical Clouds of Mount Shasta

What a honor to witness the lenticular clouds in Mount Shasta. I highly recommend checking out these articles to learn more, one at Active Norcal, and the other at The California Sun. Whether they are clouds that hide UFO's or an incredible natural phenomena or maybe a portal for spirit beings-- it is all magical and a gift that we humans can receive.

I must admit that the magic did turn up at this house sit. We found this lovely home on another housesitting site called, Housesitters America, it was synchronistic right from the start. The description of the house sit included information about the spiritual depth of the region and it was only 1/2 hour from our house sit before, in Weed. And we jived with the lifestyle of the homeowners. Sweet cozy home with lots of crystals, chickens, duck and rooster and Shiloh, a sweet, loving, adventurous dog.

The magic was supplied in numerous ways, as mentioned in the title, time slowed down-- which allowed for an easeful way of being, with meditation, walks, hikes, yoga, contemplation and really noticing. One thing we really noticed was THIS!

What is THAT? It is a rat nest in the engine of our car. We were gifted with this animal medicine to contemplate. We took it very seriously and managed to give it the clear message that it does not belong there. And most importantly we took individual messages of growth and expansion. Mine was regarding my "home" my body, and my third chakra and Luke's was more about cleaning up and getting more driven towards his goals. It was a challenging way to receive a message, however brilliant in its own right. We were also visited by a Great Blue Heron, sitting in a tree outside the bedroom window, for the whole day. You may be able to see it...

The gift of self-determination and self-reliance!! For Luke, it was a learning about the expansiveness of patience and the resulting bliss of experiencing the simple beauty of pretty much anything.

And look at these prints- BEAR! We did not see it in person, only the tracks and stories from neighbours.

So many deer alluring us to new adventure and bestowing on us peace and curiosity.

There are many outdoor adventures to be had and sacred sites to visit in the Mount Shasta area. We went to McCloud River, known as It ta choo'mah by the Pit River Tribe People. This is a slideshow that you have to manually go through by clicking on the arrows on side of the picture - IT IS WORTH IT :)

You may know that Luke and I are creative individuals and with the expansion of time, magic and spiritual vibrations our creativity was lifted. Luke launched a Family Dance Parties project, I went Christmas shopping online- (what? never imagined it...), it was fun. I also posted my first meditation video online and Luke and I started creating an online expressive arts therapy course for addiction recovery. And we had our own talent show! This is comedian Mark Shapp, avant-garde poet Feneela, and singer/songwriter Condor.

Another adventure we took was at Bunny Flats, this is where one of the roads up Mount Shasta ends in the winter and people explore the backcountry. Luke took his first back country ski and I snowshoed with Shiloh.

We are deeply grateful for the people we met in Mount Shasta and we are pleased to announce that we are returning at the end of February to house sit for someone we met through the homeowners of this house sit. We will be housesitting for Jill Crosby who is the owner/founder of Spiritual Singles and Green Singles, which are conscious dating sites, that are part of a bigger Conscious Dating Network. It was quite a charged moment when she shared her work with us. I have dated on both of those sites and recommended it to many people. Check them out if you are looking for a loving, open site with many people from all walks of life who are there by conscious choice, and you want to meet someone :).

We will be back beloved!
